A Princes Confession - Del 11

Kap 11

Shou:

”Wait” I said, stopping her halfway.
She looked behind, “What?”
“Let’s go to the jacket later, enjoy the festival now,” I said, dragging her with me to this mini café.
We went inside to the café to the counter, a girl stood there and smiled.
“And what does the lovely pair want?” she asked, nicely.
Both Ayaka and I looked at each other than back at her again.
“No…we aren’t…together,” I said, noticing how shy I became.
“Oh…I’m sorry. Uh…table for two?” she said, changing the awkward moment.
“Yeah” Ayaka said.
We followed her to a table with two chairs right opposite from each other. Before Ayaka was sitting, I had a habit from my childhood to always help the women sit down. So I dragged the chair a bit away and she smiled, sat while I drew the chair inwards.
“So you aren’t that bad of a person are you,” she said.
I went to my seat and sat down, the table was kind of little, so we were very close.
“How do you know? You don’t know me at all,” I said.
“Well you helped me, beating those guys down”
“Yeah…” I mumbled.
Ayaka titled her head, so her hair fell to the side, “What did you find for job?”
I smiled evilly, “You are going to definitely hate that job. That person is going to ruin your life and you will literally curse the hell out of me,” I said.
Ayaka’s grin vanished, “It isn’t like…prostitution?” she asked.
“Pro…what?!” I exclaimed, “Why would I work for that?!” I said, hurt.
Ayaka waved her hand, “No…my mother just wanted me to be sure. Since I don’t know you well…” she trailed off.
I leaned forward on the table and crossing my arms, “Do you want to know more about me?” I asked.
She leaned forward to, “Yes!” she said.
The waitress came with a white and pink cake with strawberry milkshake. Both Ayaka and I moved away from the table so she had space to put the food on the table.
“Enjoy!” she said and went.
“Yay!” Ayaka said and started eating, until she stopped halfway, “W…wait…I don’t have money to pay” she said.
“I’ve already paid,” I said, sighing.
“Whaat!!” she exclaimed.
“Shh…you make my head hurt. Just eat” I said, and rested my head on my hands.
“Aren’t you going to eat?” she asked, changing the subject.
“Nope. I don’t like sweet stuff” I said, looking at it with disgust. “But I can drink this milkshake” I said, in delight.
“So…if you take this job you’ll get to know me a lot,” I said.
Ayaka’s eyes widened, “Seriously?!”
“Yes…but you’ll hate it…I’m telling you that, so don’t come to me and whine about it. But you’ll definitely get good paid and I’ll make sure of that” I said, drinking my milkshake.
Ayaka smiled, “Seems like I’ll take it!”
I started to laugh, “You can’t get back on your words now, little girl. I’ll make sure someone comes to get you tomorrow in the morning and I’ll see you at the evening,” I said.

As soon as Ayaka finished her cake, we both left and went to her place. I stood outside of her house and was about to puke at how ugly it looked. I tried to compose my face but apparently, that failed because I was hit on my arm.
I chuckled, “I hope it looks better inside,” I said as I was stepping in.
It wasn’t the very best inside either, but it held presence of an loved family. I could feel the love of a mother in this house and a devoting daughter. I smiled at that. But I couldn’t smell anything male, so she doesn’t have a father or brother? I thought.
Now I heard footsteps of another person. Ayaka was almost going crazy and wanted to hide me but I just pushed her upstairs so she could get up and get my jacket. Then came Ayaka’s mother. Her eyes widened for a bit.
I bowed down in courtesy, “Hello lovely lady. My name is Kou and I am…”
She came at me and started hitting me with a shovel, DAMN what would I expect, if the daughter is violent like hell of course the mother is twice as worse! I thought.
I took a firm hold of the shovel, “I am your daughter’s partner,” I said, panting.
She creased her eyebrows, “What?!” she exclaimed.
“For the festival” I explained.
Ayaka soon came down, and her jaws fell wide open once she saw her mother with a shovel and me holding it.
