Izumi:
My hands were clenched as I was walking to my house, and my face was probably flushed because it felt like as if the heat of my body was radiating out of my body, and I was pissed off. I had taken Irma’s long sleeved shirt and rolled it around my lower-body to hide what had risen up.
Daaaaaaamnnn that witch! I thought angrily.
I was then home and tried various ways of getting me back to normal but the only thing filling my mind was Irma’s body. So, my outcome was a cold –really cold shower. Which luck fully helped me.
I then went to Kaname’s place with normal cloths but forgot my jacket since I couldn’t feel the coldness. When I was walking past some people they stopped and stared at me for a while which annoyed the hell out of me. I couldn’t take it anymore so I ran, when I run or any other vampires run the human eyes can’t comprehend the speed we have. I could hear some people gasp when I suddenly “vanished”.
I soon arrived outside Kaname’s house and he came to greet me. It wasn’t usual for him to greet me so I had an idea that somebody must be inside the house that is important. Both I and Kaname walked inside the house, the whole way he had his eyes closed and he never said a word. We walked to the living room and I had seen this coming, my eyes fell to a Spanish blooded lady, her eyes were dark and the eye shadow was also black, making notice to her dark brown skin, her cheekbones were high up and you could notice some of the Spanish features. Her black hair was hanging on a loose pony tail, some of the hair strands were hanging on her face. She smiled once we entered the room, “Blondie’s here” she said with her thick Spanish accent.
I sat down on a couch across her, “What the hell do you want, old hag?” I asked with my pissed tone.
“Do not start” Kaname said with a threatening voice.
I looked disbelieved at him, “What the hell? Why is she here?”
Kaname opened his eyes, he was sitting on the chair in front of her, his head resting on his knuckles, “Leader’s order” he said at last.
I took a deep breath in to calm myself down and then out, “Alright. Bring it” I said.
Daniela smiled, “This Mr. Jerobian and Ms. Mizuki got an invitation to, however, it was sent to Kaname’s girl Airi” she said.
“Riiiiiight, let’s start inviting humans” I said sarcastically.
Kaname looked at me with serious eyes which made me sigh, “Yeah yeah go on”
“It is not about that. It’s about Kaname’s Airi. She has regained her memories, right?” she looked at Kaname for reassurance and he nodded.
I knew it from the beginning by the marks she has, “She’s going to disappear?” I asked
Daniela looked at me seriously, “Not if the leader prevents it”
“You’re going to use the rose petal?” I said in disbelief
Kaname closed his eyes, “It’s the only way to prevent this”
“You know that she won’t accept it right?” I said, “She doesn’t want to lose her memories anymore!” I was almost shouting now.
Kaname opened his eyes, “You think it’s easy for me? You think I want her to forget me all over again? Do you think I’ll have fun being her…brother again?” he stated, with a little anger in his tone.
Daniela sighed and looked down, “Listen. If she drinks the Rose Petal’s Juice, she will forget all memories and the memories of her human will be locked and never be regained. But that means she will not be harmed, she won’t disappear”
“But Kaname, you saved Shizuka’s blood for her right, in your body?” I asked trying to find different solutions.
Kaname had his eyes down at the floor, “Yes” he replied, dully.
“But the problem is, when you Daiki were drinking Mrs. Shinji’s blood, you took it to your heart, which is why her blood is pumping through your body. When Airi drank Mr. Shinji’s blood she didn’t take it too heart, she pumped it just to her veins. Which is why she is not a Pure Blood, she is not even any rich blood” Daniela said.
“What are you coming to?” I asked puzzled.
Daniela looked at me then, “That she won’t take Shizuka’s blood to heart. She is too sensitive to do so” she replied.
“But if we force her? I mean just by not taking it to heart Shizuka won’t be alive”
“Airi will feel guilty” Kaname said, “She already feels guilty for taking his life”
“What the hell?”
“Anyhow, she is to drink it before the ball starts. According to the Leader himself said so” Daniela said and stood up.
Both Kaname and Daniela stood up, she put the Rose Petal bottle in his pocket and went towards me, “Such a big boy you have become, Blondie” she said smiling, showing her fangs and then went out.
Airi:
“Alrightyyy!!” I said once both me and Irma’s makeup selection was done, “Now we know what makeup to wear!” I said in delight.
“Hooohhh…” Irma said dully.
“Day dreaming again?” I said, tilting my head and looking at her.
She was smiling then by looking at the makeup, and I found that quite funny, so I poked her for quite some time, she then blinked and came back to earth, “What what?” she said.
I sighed, “Daydreaming again?”
She looked at me, “Me? No!!” she said, sounding innocent.
I laughed, “Well…we have our makeup fixed and I know exactly how to fix your hair! We’re going to move this stuff to a makeup studio close to the ball room. It was usually my room and Kaname’s together when we once lived there!” I said in excitement.
“You lived there?” Irma said puzzled.
“Yepp Yepp! It was before Kaname’s parents’ house, they had two. This was for when it was usually ball and parties and stuff, so both me and Kaname were always in our rooms getting fixed. We will probably also get fixed too!”
Irma clapped her hands with excitement, “Wow!!” she said.
Someone knocked at the door and then stepped in, it was Izumi. He came inside and looked disgusted at the makeup and then sat down on the sofa next to us, “You two will not go inside the men’s room, ok?” he said sighing.
Both me and Irma looked at each other with wide eyes and then back at him, “You mean that…it’s okay for me to go?” she said with such happiness, her eyes were glittering.
Izumi rubbed his temples, “Yes. However, Irma won’t leave my side at all. But I have a condition, she can come…if you drink this” he said taking out a pink bottle which was shaped as a rose.
My whole world had stopped and I could only see that bottle. It was the Rose Petal drink; it makes you forget everything you ever once knew. Cursing I stood up and snatched the bottle from him and started running out of the door.
Irma exclaimed from behind, “Airi! It’s raining outside!”
I didn’t care at all, but ran outside. I was on my way to Kaname but I met him halfway, it was outside the house where the ball was going to happen.
Kaname didn’t either wear a jacket so both of us were soaked, his hair was wet and his eyes held pain, he opened his mouth and his eyebrows was creased, he then ran towards me and put his arms around my neck and pulled me closer.
He pulled me really close and I could feel every part of his body, I took hold of his arms and stood there with eyes closed. I could hear his breathing, I could feel his heat radiating out to me, I could feel his pain.
“Drink please” he said with a weak tone.
“No” I said with a strong tone.
He then let me go and took hold of my shoulders; he was looking down and fell to the ground with his knees, “Drink please!” he said, but this time, begged.
“Why?” I said, he let go of my shoulders and put his arms around my waist.
“I don’t want to lose you. You mean a lot, you are my life. My heart isn’t pumping because it’s with you” he said, his voice weak.
“But I will forget you; I will forget the memories I have. The precious memories of us two together, the memories of my friends” I said with calm voice, and I smiled at the memories I had in my mind.
Kaname looked up, the water was rushing on his face, his eyes were wet, “I don’t understand, all the memories you have are painful, being a vampire…” he said.
I shook my head and smiled, “Painful memories raised up the happy memories. Kaname, I want to have all the memories in me, I want everything with me”
“But if you drink it, you won’t ever disappear, you will be bound to stay here until you yourself kill yourself” he said.
To my surprise, shock, horror, whatever you call it, water came out from Kaname’s eyes, it streamed down to his ear, it wasn’t the rain but his tears, and he then looked down, and took a good grip of me, “Stay!” he screamed.
He was quiet for long minutes. I closed my eyes, I wouldn’t want to live without Kaname without even knowing who he was, and I wouldn’t want to forget my friends. Then everything seemed clear to me, I opened my eyes.
I bent down to him, he still looked down but he opened his eyes, I took hold of his head with both of my hands at both of his sides, and turned it up facing towards me. “Promise me…” I said, smiling, “Promise me that when I wake up, I want to be known as your fiancée. When I wake up, I want to know exactly all whom my best friends are. I want you to tell me who is not my friend and whom I should trust.”
Kaname’s eyes widened and he bit his lips and nodded, taking out two sets of rings from his pocked. I gasped, “I took them!” I said doubtfully, Kaname shook his head, “I took them back from you” he said, taking hold of my left hand and putting it in my finger, “It says that this finger goes straight to the heart” he said, putting his on.
Both of us opened the bottle of the Rose Petal, “It won’t work directly, who knows when it will work” he said. I nodded and put the bottle against my lips, it felt cold, and my stomach was twisting and turning. I closed my eyes really hard and drank the sweet taste of Rose.
